So Honda’s tuning arm already confirmed the details on the hot hybrid hatch that is the Mugen CR-Z. Now, Mugen is now setting its sights on creating a hot version of Honda’s supermini – the Jazz (Fit in the Japanese market or on some pretentious douche’s Jazz).

Mugen already offers aftermarket tuning and upgrades for the Japanese Jazzes but nothing major to merit a truly hot car. Mugen’s targeting something special if they’re to make a Mugen Jazz.

Some ideas thrown in are to slap on the supercharged hybrid powertrain from the Mugen CR-Z or to fit the 2.0L VTEC engine from the Civic Type R. Imagine the power of around 200 ponies in a car as small as the Jazz.

These are some rough plans for now. But who knows? We might just be surprised when Mugen suddenly comes out with a concept soon. Honda and Jazz fans would probably be delighted with the news.
