This kid can’t be denied – Sebastien Vettel powered on through in the latest European Grand Prix to clinch his 6th win of the season. Pretty impressive stuff from F1’s latest wonder kid and defending champion.

Joining Vettel on the podium are Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Vettel’s Red Bull teammate, Mark Webber who were locked in a pretty interesting battle throughout the race. The two swapped positions all throughout until Alonso managed to edge Webber thanks to a well-time pit stop.

Jenson Button, who drove an epic race in the last one (coming from last place to win it) wasn’t able to replicate his magnificent form with a 6th place finish. Button claims an issue with his KERS system. Excuses. Excuses.

Button’s McLaren teammate, Lewis Hamilton managed a 4th place finish while Felipe Massa in the other Ferrari followed for 5th. With the win, Vettel extends his lead in the driver’s championship to 77 points clear of 2nd placer Button.

It really looks like the season’s done and over with thanks to Vettel and Red Bull’s dominance of late. Though it’d be interesting to see how McLaren and Ferrari would continue to contend for the rest of the season.
