Here’s another reveal from the New York Auto Show: the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback prototype. The model will be a five-door hatch and is set to join the two-door and sedan variants set for the US.
Looks-wise it is undoubtedly similar to the new Civic that’s rolling out for sale (including the Philippine market) soon. The hatch rear of the car though makes the difference. By the looks of it, it’s even sportier than the rear of the CR-Z, thanks to the lights and vented bumper. Not a fan of the dual exhaust tips mounted at the center though.
Powering the car is the 172 hp 1.5L VTEC turbo that’s expected to be powering a turbo variant of the sedan here in the Philippines. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual.
We’re sure plenty of Pinoys will find this interesting. The Civic hatch of old (especially the EG6) was a dream car for many from our generation.
please bring that enticing car in the philippines surely, huge car lover of this kind feel excited, when this unit gonna be in the philippine shore! it’s realy perfect and elegant 1.5L car ever!
