I’ve always referred to Aston Martin as sex on wheels. They surely cemented that title having been James Bond’s car of choice (starting with the DBS) for the Daniel Craig installations. Now, Aston’s got a new grand tourer and it’s the new Aston Martin DB11.
Aston did the whole Microsoft Windows thing and skipped a number having had the DB9 way back in 2003. Then came the DBS. And now here we are with the DB11.
The car is powered by a 5.2L V12 engine that generates 600 bhp. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with limited-slip differential. Suspensions with adaptive dampers help the car cope through corners and the car sits atop 20-inch Bridgestones.
The DB11 carries on with the tradition of sleek and dapper styling. The car’s design factors in better aerodynamics to help it slice through air and reach 0 to 100 KPH in 3.9 seconds.
The car is priced at £154,900 – around PhP 10,200,000 in today’s exchange rate though expect it to be priced much higher if brought here in the Philippines.
Aston Martin has recently set up shop through DBPhils Motorsports with a showroom at Bonifacio Global City.
