Ever had someone else book an Uber ride for you? While it works, sometimes, the driver would be skeptical as to why they’re picking up Maria when it’s Juan who booked the ride.
Sometimes people would be using a product or a service beyond its intended uses. Great companies would acknowledge this and support and build around them.
So Uber has finally acknowledged this and has started to roll out a pilot of the Family Profiles feature. This allows you to add “family” members and book and pay for other members.
Ideally for families, Uber allows you to add anyone which is nice if you consider friends family or just consider about anyone kin. And you can even add and remove members after just one ride.
The feature is currently on a pilot run in Atlanta, Dallas, and Phoenix. Hope Uber Manila will be next.
