Check out the new Tesla Model 3 which has just been unveiled at Tesla’s official launch event in California. The Model 3 is the fourth all-electric model from the company and is supposed to be Tesla’s “affordable” electric car.
Thanks to their deep research and development of battery technology, the Model 3 is rated to last 215 miles per charge. That’s supposed to be enough to take you from Manila to Quezon and back.
Thanks to the electric motor, the Model 3 can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 6 seconds. The car seats 5 adults comfortable and carries a 5-star safety rating across the board.
The Model 3 also has Tesla’s autopilot technology – car software that deals with cruise control, automatic lane change and self-parking – but will come as optional extras – around $3,000 in the previous models.
Amazingly, the car already has more than 230,000 orders worldwide despite only having opened ordering. Building hasn’t even started yet and deliveries are still a year away. The Model 3 carries a price tag of $35,000 (approx. PhP 1.65M).
