Honda’s no-taxi policy has helped secure the brand’s position as a step over it’s rivals from Japan and Korea in terms of sense of luxury. That and their cars’ quality. Anyway, here’s the new Honda Accord ready for the Philippine market. The most striking update would be the more aggressive styling lines.
Powering the car are a 2.4L and a 3.5L engines depending on the trim level. The 2.4L i-VTEC engine delivers 180 hp while the 3.5L V6 dishes out 275 hp with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) which automatically disables cylinders used when they’re not need to save up on fuel consumption.
For added flair, the car now features a jackknife jet. The insides feature plush leather seats. The 3.5L variant gets Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free telephoning. Both variants come with front corner and rear parking sensors. Other safety systems include anti-lock brakes, brake force distribution and stability assistance. The automatic transmission provides fluid shifts between gears and thanks to a revised variable gear ratio responsiveness has also been improved.
The new Honda Accord’s SRPs are as follows:
2.4-liter AT Php 1,700,000.00
3.5-liter V6 AT Php 2,050,000.00
